What was your first transaction? A 42M million dollar off market deal that I doubled ended! The hidden gem of Santa Monica is... I don’t know how hidden it is but La Mesa Drive North of San Vicente is a beautiful street lined with fig trees, vintage lamps and lanterns and some of the most architecturally significant homes from the 1920’s and 1930’s. Feels like a lovely walk back in time. My biggest inspiration is... What is your favorite architectural style? Indoor/outdoor living is key but my favorite it California Ranch and Modern Spanish. Favorite new restaurant is… Angelini Restaurant & Bar in the Palisades Village for Al Fresco dining. What is something an outsider would not know about the Real Estate industry… Selling Real Estate is nothing like it portrayed on Selling Sunset, Million Dollar Listing, etc. Bardonna on Montana Ave. The Golden Oat Milk Latte is Delicious! |
If I was not in Real Estate, I would be... Working in A&R or as a music supervisor. The Hidden gem of Silverlake is... I love walking up Benton St. and around to Angelus Ave. There's so many amazing and unique historic homes to view. Cafe Stella also has great wine shop. Grab wine and cheese to-go or they'll serve it to you to enjoy on the patio. My biggest inspirations are… My parents. Both entrepreneurs. My dad works as a developer specializing in historic preservation and my mom owns a restaurant in our hometown of Durham, NC (@bullandbean)! What is your favorite architectural style? Streamline architecture-there's something about those curved windows and the art deco aesthetic. My positive outlook! What is something an outsider would not know about the Real Estate industry... It benefits everyone when the buyer's agent and seller's agent work together, not against each other, to get the deal done smoothly. Clark Street in Echo Park. The pastries are worth it. They also opened Clark Street Diner that has great breakfast and will make you feel like you went back to the 70's. |

The shawarma!! Please please order the shawarma platter. This new Art Deco Restaurant is jewel box in East Hollywood by the same group that brought us Bavel and Bestia. They’ve shaped the careers of a generation of line cooks, wine professionals, and front-of-house staff who spent years at either restaurant (or both), and along the way, they even managed to have a daughter named Saffron. Start the evening off with a Sour, which is a Mezcal passionfruit cocktail and enjoy the tunes playing throughout the night. The bar is COOL and you can also eat dinner there, with 16 seats it is a great option without a reservation. Saffy’s pulls in flavors from Israel, Palestine, Egypt, and Los Angeles. The golden tile, the deep red hues, the muted pinks, light wood, and tall ceilings, it’s all from Gergis and Nicky Kaplan Interiors, and recalls a ‘70s-era Morocco. The food is a casual and flavorful collection of grilled meats and warm breads. I almost had to try everything. The yellowfin crudo is unexpected on the menu and a must try. My favorite appetizer was the tomatoes with smoked eggplant, could put that on everything, and I did. As mentioned above, you must try to the wood-fire shawarma. The Skewers come out in a dramatic way and are cooked in the wood fired oven and eating with your hands is encouraged. |
