Lighting is one of the most overlooked elements in a home. Not just decorative fixtures, but how light is layered throughout a space, soft wall lighting, warm dimmers, concealed architectural lighting, and the way natural light moves through a room during the day. Another element is material authenticity. Natural stone, handwoven textiles, and finishes that age beautifully bring depth and richness to a home.

Los Angeles has an incredible network of artisans and specialty ateliers. One place I love for inspiration is The Future Perfect. It’s part gallery and part design showroom, representing some of the most exciting collectible furniture and lighting being created today.
